Policy on disclosure of nonpublic, personal information
received from clients:
Our
policy has always been to provide you with the best
service in a professional and friendly manner.
Confidentiality has always and will continue to be at
the top of the list. Recently enacted federal law
establishes new privacy standards and requires us to
provide a summary of our privacy policy to customers
once a year.
Hughes
Bookkeeping and Tax Service, Inc.
will not reveal or divulge any information to anyone for
any reason without the expressed written
permission of our clients, unless required by law.
Staff training
requirements include instruction in confidentiality.
Employees are required to sign a contract that includes
a confidentiality clause. It is our policy to shred all
materials containing any of the listed information
related to our clients and consumers after the required
time. Client lists and mailing
lists are the property of Hughes Bookkeeping and Tax
Service, Inc., and are not shared with any other
businesses or institutions.

Income from wages, self-employment, business entities,
sales receipts, gifts, financial institutions, winnings,
or any other form of income, expense or earnings.
Identification numbers:
Social Security
numbers, State and Federal employer identification
numbers, employee identification numbers.
Financial institution numbers:
Account numbers,
account balances.
Business and personal
information: Telephone,
cell phone, fax or beeper numbers, residential
addresses, information on family members.
Medical information:
Any information
regarding fees paid for medical services or information
regarding any medical condition.
